There is one Ultralight reconstruction project underway at the museum. We are currently restoring a Lazair Series 1. Once restored, this vintage craft will hang in the museum as examples of Canadian involvement in ultralight construction and flying.

The Ultraflight Sales Ltd. Lazair was the first Canadian ultralight, and also the first twin-engine ultralight in production. They were manufactured by Dale Kramer of Port Colborne, Ontario between 1978-1980. This plane was the first twin-engine ultralight in production and was noted for its excellent maneuverability. It was built as a powered glider, and its design was based on a glider called the Super-Floater.
